Plot

This movie's a live action adaptation of Nonaka Eiji's manga and anime series! The plot centers on the madcap adventures of Kamiyama Takashi, an otherwise normal honors student who ends up getting himself enrolled in the worst school in all of Japan. Filled with some of the toughest and dumbest delinquents imaginable (ranging from Mohawk sporting hoodlums to masked wrestler-types), Cromartie High is also home to such nontraditional students as a gorilla, a bare-chested Freddie Mercury look-alike, and a not so mechanically inclined tin can of a robot named Mechazawa who apparently thinks he's just a normal guy!

Review

Here we are again, another manga-based comic movie by Yudai Yamaguchi. Sakigake!! Cromartie High School is absolutely hilarious and totally nonsense, a must seen like Battlefield Baseball! Direction is cool, actors are very good and funny: they perfectly fit their roles and Takamasa Suga is a great main character. Tak plays Ichiro Yamamoto, Kamiyama's friend, and you can see him only in the beginning for about 5 minutes. So maybe this is not the right movie if you're expecting to see Tak a lot on the screen, but for sure it's perfect for all the lovers of comedy and comic action films. Do yourself a favour: watch it and have a good time!
