Godzilla's 50th Anniversary project, in which Godzilla travels around the world to fight his old foes, plus a new, mysterious monster called "Monster X." Then, aliens who call themselves Xilians propose a peace treaty with Earth.

Review

I think Godzilla Final Wars is the worst Kitamura's movie. I'm sorry to write that and I have to admit I've never appreciated Godzilla characters and movies, but I really didn't like it at all. I found it childish and foolish, with some truly absurd scenes. However direction is really good, special effects are nice and fighting scenes (directed by Tak himself) are great... but that's all. All the rest reminds me of Power Rangers or some Star Trek movies. Tak plays one of the Xillian aliens and he's amazing: long hair, cold gaze, all dressed in leather as usual. But unfortunately he appears only for a few minutes, and disappears as soon as he comes. In conclusion, better to avoid and forget this Godzilla Final Wars.

Rating: 3/10
